Using Generative A.I. to Examine Ideas

(Originally Posted on November 14th 2023) Ideas come and go but as long as they are properly written down and defined there is a chance that they could become tangible. Ideas for business, creation, invention, and methods are rarely just ‘One thing’. It is multiple pieces to form a concept, and in some areas, knowledge is known but in other areas, it is more ‘unknown’. That is where ‘Generative A.I.’ could come in handy.

I came up with an idea the other day, wrote down every piece of it that would be interesting, and took a look at how I wanted it to be formatted. I had zero knowledge of the format I thought would’ve been ‘cool’ so I politely asked a Generative A.I. to explain the word, define which industries use it, and asked for some examples of how it was used. Training the A.I. to focus on this certain part of the aspect before explaining how I wanted to use the format.

It wasn’t a ‘Groundbreaking’ Idea I fear I should have patented before sharing but it was an idea that came to me for the platforms I regularly post on. It gave some interesting results and gave me a better vision of how my idea could be formatted. It was a lot of fun going deeper and deeper with the Generative A.I. before explaining my purpose and how I wanted my idea to sort of mirror the previous examples and seeing the result it generated. Do I plan on ‘copying and pasting’ the results for my idea? No. But the inspiration and clarification of what my idea could look like is enough for me to continue onward with it.

Helpful Advice:

– Always write down the date and as much of an idea as possible before sharing parts of it with a Generative A.I.

– Ask it to explain a word, concept, or other element then define how or who uses those topics and finally examples to fine-tune the Generative A.I.

– Only direct the Generative A.I. on one part of the idea/concept that is unfamiliar to speed things along and not give away the whole idea.
