Personal Goals for Participating

Blockchain, Generative AI, and all the things inbetween these two subjects have seen a huge influx of people as they grew popular. Nobody wants to feel ‘left out’ or ‘behind others’ as they witness others messing around in these new spaces.
It’s even harder when I see how others utilize the technology and how far they took it. I definitely felt a like I missed out on something but I wasn’t willing to go to those lengths for ‘success’ as they seemed, to me. somewhat invasive and immoral in some regards. Seeing how much scandal these technologies kicked up in their early days as everybody rushed to be relevant left a bad taste for many and even today some people won’t bother if they hear ‘Blockchain’ or ‘Generative AI’.

But the technology and utility behind them are still incredibly useful for many, it just takes a personal reason for participating. Not to hit ‘instant success’, but to use it as a tool to build, improve, and grow as a personal participant.

For me, the point of these technologies are to improve existing structures on the individual level. I am not expecting to package something in these spaces to sell it for others to purchase but I am looking to improve what I can do with what is available.

For Blockchain, my personal goal is to have a sense of ownership over what I create on there and a place to store any ‘digital assets’ I deem worthy to hold onto. Not to ‘hodl until 100x wen moon’ that is often seen when looking up ‘Blockchain asset’ or ‘Cryptocurrency’. Now I may benefit from that somewhere in the middle of working on my goal, but that isn’t my purpose on the space and having that in mind definitely keeps me in line when I participate on the Blockchain.

For Generative AI, I use it as a tool to have a ‘second opinion’ over a idea or concept I am focusing on at that moment, I’ve used it to help clarify the definition of words and terms used in topics and subjects that I find while doing research, I’ve certainly gotten in the nitty-gritty with a Generative AI before concerning avenues of research, ownership, and various ways to find research that most search engines hide or don’t bring up to the list after page XX, I am not looking to sell ‘prompts’, ‘generated’ media, and other aspects that many jumped on and sold during those early days.

I think these subjects are more valuable as tools to help improve things that already exist or to addon to other aspects that have started lacking in the current space.

I use them as such and I would like more people to look at the capabilities of the technology as a whole instead of ‘Get rich quick by following this guide!’ and ‘Wen moon? 100x if bought NOW!’. A crowded shallow pool isn’t a fun place to be when everybody is shouting the same thing to each other and everybody who steps in. Take the steps to wade deeper and feel how clean the deeper water is.
