So many methods and systems are created for a specific purpose and to deviate from that purpose generally leads to not achieving the intended results. But if there are multiple options that the system hasn’t mentioned or explored yet than what is to stop me from implementing the method in places were it is not realized?
I am taking a marketing course and while the course contains invaluable knowledge I am finding that it is very strictly meant for more traditional systems online. That’s not a bad thing but with understanding Web3 and decentralization (to a degree) I can’t help but ponder if those methods could work on an slightly different system.
I participate on Hive and some of the frontends there DO give analytics that many marketing guides recommend having to see if what is being shared/created is reaching certain metrics. This isn’t a ‘make or break’ thought but as I slowly crossover my Web3 creations to a Web2 domain I wonder how those marketing methods would work in this venture.
Being an entrepreneur, to me, requires thinking outside the box and sometimes taking methods or systems meant for one thing and rearranging it to fit what the venture COULD be. jury-rigged parts to make a whole. There are no guides when trying to implement parts to create a whole when the end goal is NOT what the method was designed for.
I mean, if the ability to make something new from other parts can work and could benefit more people then why wouldn’t I at least attempt to do it? If it doesn’t work than I can strike it off the list but if I do see a medium of success than I can continue to hone and perfect the ‘jury-rigged’ into ‘Functional’ for myself and others.
