People are different, (Surprise!), and there are many formats to receive information. Finding the best option varies from person to person. Audio such as podcasts or recordings, Videos showing speakers or demonstrations, Reading Infographs and articles, interviews featuring a guest or talking deep dives about a subject, the variety is vast and any source to learn useful information is usually welcome.
Everybody takes to a certain format differently though. Some learners can’t stand watching a video but will happily read an article or database, other researchers can watch videos because it gives them the option to skip around and watch the instructor speak, while further investigators prefer to listen.
Whatever the option, as long as the information is useful and it sticks is the important part. Don’t be chained to trying one format. Try all the options! See which one is the best method to retain information and continue learning!
Helpful Advice:
– Make sure information is recent and relevant
– Not every bit of information is helpful but there are always nuggets of info that are extremely useful. Write down whatever sticks out!
– Discern if the research is worth the time it takes to finish.
