So after finding out what all of these subjects can do and looking up how people are utilizing them the question now turns to “How specific can this be for me?”. Just looking up ‘What can (example) do?” Well everybody already knows that “it can do this, it was created for that, its purpose was to help with these” and whatever! That knowledge is still good to know but finding an extremely specific personal use case is how to get the most out of these technologies.
Let’s use a Multi-tool for an example, it’s good to have and useful in a general sense but the limiting factor is often the fact that it is meant to ‘fill the gap’ for not having that one specific tool handy at all times. The actual tool for its intended purpose can easily and quickly solve the problem that the tool was created to solve when compared to fiddling with the many functions of the multi-tool.
With my attempt to give a clear example out of the way, it is now time to think about narrowing down the use cases for these potential tools and how they can best be used.
Helpful Advice:
People immersed in a profession understand the shortcoming/niche of that profession, find out how these ‘tools’ could help fix these areas.
Write out every aspect of the problem and see where the ‘tools’ could potentially fill a role.
Check to see if these ‘tools’ could easily be implemented if they do solve a niche problem
