‘Web 3’ Isn’t exactly a location… It is websites and applications linked together and accessed through a blockchain via an account or wallet.
Creation of a blockchain account or associated wallets can seem overly technical but is usually simple. Upon setup, the account creator is given a set of randomly generated ‘keys’ to give ownership and the ability to perform transactions along with a list of ‘seed phrases’ to recover the account if it ever gets ‘misplaced’. The individual creating the account is given complete access and authority of that account. There is no organization or moderator who can recover or return the account if anything untoward happens.
This space is still early but the opportunity is there for creators(Art, content, blogs), Developers(Programs, projects, applications), Collectors(Tokens, NFTs, Assets), and more!
Many of the Decentralized Applications(dApps) are created to run on ‘one’ Blockchain, so multiple accounts may need to be created to access different blockchains.
After figuring out the confusing methods and differences each blockchain features, what now? Research. ‘Web 3’ is not meant to fully replace the current Web but it is meant to give the participants freedom over their creations, a means to have ownership over themselves and another platform to share, perform, and interact on. It is imperative that every person understands what they are participating in and what could be gained from this platform of ownership.
