About Alternative Sources (Again)

Don’t be informed by the same sources over a subject for too long. Pretty soon there might be a thought that the source is the only way things are done… but that just isn’t true.

Just because one information source is constantly spitting out details doesn’t mean that is the only aspect to think about because there are actually more components to a subject than thought.

Take for instance: ‘Content’ creators. Many think that the only way to succeed is to latch onto the algorithm so more people see the content being created but that isn’t necessarily true.

Sticking to a single topic and creating a lot of content about that topic shows an algorithm or search engine that the creator is sticking to the topic and becomes renown for that topic just due to the sheer amount of creation the creator has put around it/behind it.

One creator may be posting 20 different things about 20 different topics that are sort of related but they are incredibly shallow and very baseline.

The other creator who spent time on the one topic and has shared every facet of that core topic is a different source entirely because they are looking at the one thing but in detail.

If you only follow the 1st creator then there might be thoughts that there isn’t much to the subject as the creator is exploring those 20 different topics but none of them are in depth so naturally that must mean there isn’t anything worth exploring about the subject beyond what the 1st creator has already shared.

But then you stumble across the 2nd creator who has gone in depth about the subject and suddenly you realize there was a lot more underneath the topic than once thought.

This venture to other information sources applies to me for Blockchain, Web3, Ownership, and everything else I focus on in this domain. Because They are all different aspects of a subject and ones view point is entirely different from another’s but to just focus on the one viewpoint when there are so many other interesting utilities that can be used from these subjects would be foolish.

Yes, the ‘leading expert’ might have solid knowledge but those scrappy creators who also talk about the subject will share their insight and how they share their experience using the project will be totally different and probably shake the foundations of what is currently known about the subject.

I am always looking for alternatives. Platforms, applications, tools, services, search engines, just about anything that is separate from mainstream not to be different or ‘contrary’ but because there is a utility in those alternatives that the mainstream doesn’t offer because they are too ‘niche’ for central/mainline users.

Stay Knowledgeable. Continue searching for alternatives for any subject and try not to dismiss them too early. Get their insight and see what those alternatives bring to the table. It might just be exactly what is needed.
